The ICSE syllabus provides for a balanced pattern of education and stresses on testing understanding and application of concepts. The students are examined in 7 subjects for the Class X examination. The subject options are exercised in Class IX. English, Social Studies, Environmental Education and Punjabi are compulsory, the remaining three subjects offered are Science, Computer Applications or Commercial Applications and Mathematics. The subjects being selected need to be well thought out keeping future course of studies and careers in mind. Internal assessment of every student comprises 20% of the total marks awarded in each subject. In addition, all students must pass in Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW).
