principal's message

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Creating and shaping a vision for academics goes a long way to make education empowering, enlightening and emancipating in its essence and that is precisely the school’s contribution to nation in the sphere of education. At Sat Paul Mittal School, we are constantly working to provide an imperative, stimulating and an enlightened environment to help the Satyans connect with and understand the world. The teachers are allies in children's quest for competence.

Each day when I walk the school aisle, I hear the conversations of the zealous minds, the excitement of the triumphant athletes, the thump of dancing feet and the sound of melodious voices harmonizing. We with a different perspective, allow our students to relish their childhood. I am very honoured of our achievements over the past years; academic and non-academic glories accomplished by the students, personal and professional growth of each and every member, winning the prolific trust and support of the society and finally being able to develop human beings with the values of both the head and heart. The environment in the school is conducive to inculcate leadership qualities and character building through the Satyan Entrepreneurship programme (organising a canteen)wherein theSatyans displayed their incredible organisation skills;from a unique poetical invitation, to taking pre-orders and delivering the quality food with a special thank you note.

The young Satyans have become the harbinger for their competitors not only in the city but also in the entire Northern region by organising a major-league event like the SPMMUN. Their indomitable spirit has won them public acclaim and many of them have even got job offers by the parents and other dignitaries present on the occasion. We value individualism and try to inculcate creativity, innovation and confidence. In order to achieve the hundred per cent participation of the students, we have organised the unique Form Assemblies wherein we help the students to refine their oratory skills, develop confidence of public speaking and eschew the stage fear. Besides rigorous scholastic programmes, the school has marked its name in all spheres such as art and craft, music, variety of sports, environmental conservation activities like achieving the prerequisites of an Eco School and the list goes on…. The impetus behind our reputation and outstanding achievement stems from our single-minded focus, which is the holistic development of the students who are indeed the future of mankind.

Our prime focus is to sensitise the Satyans towards the needs of the community through various initiatives like the Community Connect Holiday Homework, IAYP, etc. The 21st century skills (the lifeline for students in today’s world) are honed through a totally students’ driven project called the Life Skills. This initiative was taken up after being influenced by the feedback of the alumni. The teacher has merely become a facilitator with the Satyans taking the lead to make presentations, interact, have group discussions and solve logical and reasoning skills questions. They have amazed their teachers with their commendable and innovative ideas.

Thus the onus is on creating a climate hospitable to education in which a collaborative culture exists, wherein the teachers’ working relationships with one another becomes stronger and students’ achievements becomes higher. I have been able to instil in the minds of students capacities of inquiry, creativity, technology, entrepreneurial and moral leadership. At the end of twelve years journey of a student, as he leaves the portals of the institution, he is a happy, self-directed, lifelong learner, who is able to create equilibrium between the practices and beliefs to suit the emerging modern India and the globe.

There are challenges ahead of us, however, keeping in mind our school motto: ‘Learning without Limits’ will surely make a great difference. I am certain with the support of staff, parents and students the school will reach greater heights in the years to come.
