SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

Special Assembly offers a platform to the students to showcase their talent. Hundred percent participation is the significant feature of the Special Assembly. Every class presents a Special Assembly on a theme like Monsoons, Rakshabandhan, Janamashtami and World Day for Cultural Development etc. The theme is depicted through speeches, a skit, songs and a dance performance. Special Assembly is a treat for the parents.

MORNING ASSEMBLY

The School Morning Assembly aims at inculcating discipline and confidence in the children. It begins with a prayer. Pledge, School Song, National Song and National Anthem also mark it. It is conducted by Head Boy or Head Girl. The class on duty presents the thought, news and a speech. The teachers also give a pep talk on some moral value twice a week. Extempore and Learning Words make the Morning Assembly unique. A birthday card is presented and the birthday song sung for the birthday children.

ANNUAL FUNCTION

The Annual Function offers a glimpse of the talent that we hone. It is a show par excellence. Hundred percent participation is its key-feature. The faculty and the students labour stremously to put up a show of remarkable excellence and perfection. It is witnessed by an eminent personality and parents. The Annual Function is an eagerly awaited moment of the year.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

A Graduation Ceremony for the chirrups of kindergarten is organized every year when they embark on the journey of formal education in Class - I. The little ones clad in gowns and caps with tassels offer a feast for all present. They take the Oath of allegiance to the school flag. Every tiny tot is given a title by the respective class-teacher as he receives the scroll. The retreat to the tune of Auld Lang Syne is a moment to cherish.

The culmination of education for the high school student, the commencement ceremony, or graduation for Grade XII is a major event and transition point for students, parents, and teachers. The school celebrates their hard work and accomplishments, as they leave the portals of the institution to follow diverse paths into futures that may include higher education and the world of work.

CELEBRATIONS

We celebrate all the major national and religious festivals like Independence Day, Diwali, Gurpurab, Christmas etc. in school. The whole campus is decorated in accordance with the festival. A cultural extra-vaganza is presented by the students. Various competitions are also organized as a part of the celebrations. Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Earth Day, Mother’s Day, World Asthma Day, Labour Day etc. also celebrated in the school.

ANNUAL PRIZE-DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

During the Annual Prize-distribution function, the prizes are given to the talented Satyans who excel in the field of academics and extra-curricular activities. The prizes are given to the class toppers and subject toppers in the field of academics. In the field of extra-curricular activities, the prizes are given to All round Best Student, Best Orator in English, Hindi and Punjabi, Best in English, Hindi and Punjabi Calligraphy, Best in clay Modeling, Best Dancer, Best Singer, Best Actor and Computer Whiz-Kid.

SCHOOL MAGAZINE

Our Magazine ‘The Satyan ’ is a treat to the readers. It sections: Articles, Pot Pourri, The Polymaths, Ace, Chronicles and Vox Pop offer a deep insight into the school activities. Our regular features like Healing through herbs, Opinion, Parenting Podium and Yes vs. No reflect the calibre of our faculty, parents and students. Besides the Teacher Editorial Board, it is run by the student Editorial body.

ADVENTURE CAMPS

The school organises adventure camps for Junior and Senior students every year. During the camps the children rough it out in the wilderness of the hills. They sleep in tents in the lap of nature and observe the flora and fauna of the place. They also undertake activities like rock climbing, artificial river crossing, Burma bridge crossing, rappelling and trekking.

PERFORMING ARTS

Besides regular periods for music, dance, art and craft, clay-modeling, the Junior school Satyans enjoys Performing Arts Class on every Saturday. Performing Arts include Indian Music (Vocal), Western Music (Instrumental), Classical Dance and Pottery. The Senior School Satyans also have the option of Photography Club, English, Punjabi and Hindi Dramatic Club, Speaker’s Forum and a plethora of other options for Clubs.

SPIC MACAY

The school is a member of Spic Macay, a society promoting classical music, dance and art among young people. The school periodically organises Spic Macay conventions and programmes every year.

INTER-SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

Throughout the school career, there will be several opportunities to participate in a lively and diverse calendar of inter school activities. In the senior classes, the students will be involved in a series of exchange programmers with schools in India and abroad.
